Dhikala is the most iconic and prime zone inside Jim Corbett National Park. It lies in the core area of the forest and offers dramatic views of Ramganga Reservoir, grasslands, sal forests and rich wildlife movement. Dhikala is accessible through Dhangari Gate (approx. 20 km from Ramnagar). Staying inside Dhikala Forest Rest House is a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.

Daywise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival & Evening Safari

Arrive at Ramnagar. Board your gypsy and enter through Dhangari Gate. Drive inside the dense sal forest, grasslands and river belts while heading towards Dhikala Forest Rest House. Check into your forest accommodation and have lunch. In the evening, enjoy your jeep safari in Dhikala zone – one of Corbett’s richest wildlife landscapes. Return to rest house, dinner and overnight stay inside the forest.



Day 2

Morning Safari & Departure

Wake up early and go for morning jeep safari in Dhikala grasslands – excellent chance to spot tigers, elephants, crocodiles and birdlife. Back to rest house for breakfast. After check-out, drive back towards Dhangari Gate. En-route visit Crocodile Point & High Bank viewpoint. Drop at Ramnagar. Tour ends with lifetime memories of Dhikala.



Forest rest house stay is basic, not luxury.
Dhikala generally has better power backup; other FRH’s mostly generator till ~10 PM
Meals in core zone are generally vegetarian.
Outside food, liquor and non-veg items are not allowed.
Mobile network may be weak or unavailable in many areas.
Only guests with valid confirmed permits can enter and stay.
Original ID (matching the permit) must be carried.
No entry after official gate closing time.
Loud music is not allowed.
Flash photography should be avoided.
Zone change after booking is not permitted.
Smoking is restricted and allowed only in selected areas.

To confirm your seat, a 50% advance amount along with a recognized Government Identity card (Aadhar, Pan Card, Driver’s License, OCI, Passport, Voter’s ID, school/College ID) is to be sent to us.

For non Indian nationals, only Passport is allowed.
