How to Reach Corbett National Park from Indore
By Air
The fastest way to reach Jim Corbett from Kolkata is by air. You can take a flight from Kolkata to Pantnagar Airport (85 km from the park) or Delhi Airport (around 250 km). From either airport, taxis and private cabs are easily available for the onward journey to Corbett – about 2 – 3 hours from Pantnagar and 5 – 6 hours from Delhi.
By Train
There are no direct trains from Kolkata to Corbett, but you can take a train to Delhi or Kathgodam. From Delhi, you can board a connecting train to Ramnagar, the nearest railway station to the park (12 km away). Taxis and jeeps are readily available from Ramnagar to reach your resort or safari gate.
By Road
Jim Corbett National Park is approximately 1,400 – 1,450 km from Kolkata, and the drive takes around 26 – 28 hours via Asansol – Varanasi – Lucknow – Bareilly – Moradabad – Ramnagar – Corbett. The journey is long but scenic, offering a mix of highways, countryside views, and forest stretches for those who love road adventures.
Travel Tip: For a convenient and time-saving journey from Kolkata, most travelers prefer taking a flight to Delhi or Pantnagar and then continuing by road to Ramnagar. This route offers excellent connectivity, smooth highways, and easy access to the main entry gates of Jim Corbett National Park.
