How to Reach Corbett National Park from Jaipur

By Air

The quickest way to reach Jim Corbett from Jaipur is by air. You can take a flight from Jaipur to Pantnagar Airport (85 km from the park) or Delhi Airport (around 250 km). From either airport, taxis and private cabs are easily available for the onward journey about 2 – 3 hours from Pantnagar and 5 – 6 hours from Delhi.

By Train

You can take a train from Jaipur to Delhi and then board a connecting train to Ramnagar, the nearest railway station to Jim Corbett (12 km away). From Ramnagar, taxis and jeeps are readily available to take you to your resort or chosen safari zone.

By Road

Jim Corbett National Park is approximately 450 – 500 km from Jaipur, and the drive takes around 9 – 10 hours via Delhi – Moradabad – Ramnagar – Corbett. The route offers smooth highways and scenic countryside stretches, making it a great option for those who enjoy road trips.

Travel Tip: For a comfortable and time-saving journey from Jaipur, many travelers prefer taking a flight to Delhi or Pantnagar and then continuing by road to Ramnagar. This route offers excellent connectivity, smooth highways, and easy access to the main entry gates of Jim Corbett National Park.

Best Time to Book Corbett Tiger Safari Packages

Booking your Corbett safari from Nainital early ensures a seamless and memorable experience. Since the number of jeeps entering the park is limited, permits often sell out in advance, especially during weekends and holidays.

The park remains open from mid-November to mid-June, and each season offers something special.

  • November to February: Cool and pleasant weather, ideal for nature photography and bird watching.
  • March to June: Excellent tiger sightings as animals gather near rivers and waterholes.

It’s best to plan your Corbett trip two to four months in advance, especially if you prefer specific safari zones or popular jungle lodges. Early planning ensures better safari timing, comfortable accommodation, and a relaxed wildlife experience.
